We’ve just started to work with our friends at British Muslim TV (BMTV) and are currently showing an animated advert created to launch our flagship halal baby food range – you can check it out below!
We asked them to say a few words about their great channel with many programmes that are perfect for mums to watch while feeding their babies (and of course when taking a well-earned break) – so please spread the word about BMTV. There’ll be more news and updates from our friends in the coming months but in the meantime, here’s what they say:
British Muslim TV is a fresh and exciting TV channel, bursting with a range of educational and entertaining content.
Broadcasting 24-hours a day, and available to watch free on Sky or stream online, the station is an exclusive destination for high-quality programming that connects with the diverse British Muslim community.
With a focus on quality production, and through showcasing the best of British and the best of Muslim, the aim of the channel is to make British Muslims feel confidently Muslim and comfortably British.
Research has shown that the majority of Muslims in Britain embrace their ‘Britishness’ but find that broadcast media rarely caters effectively for their interests, in particular the Muslim women of today.
To address this, British Muslim TV packed screens with innovative and original productions, with the aim to appeal to all sections of the Muslim society by remaining non-sectarian and open to different views – helping to bring fragmented communities together.
We have shows specially tailored towards Muslim parents, including herbal remedy shows like Avicenna’s Garden, which show viewers how to battle things like a cold with natural ingredients found in the kitchen.
We also have Ask the Alim, which answers the difficult questions on Islam you might have, and Sisters’ Hour, a lively magazine show that looks at subjects that are important to women all over the country. We even have a new fitness show called Faith and Fitness, which will be coming to screens very soon!
Don’t worry if you’ve missed any of the shows above, because British Muslim TV has launched an On Demand service where you can catch-up on those shows you’ve missed. Log online now to start streaming LIVE for free or tune-in to Sky channel 845.
