National Curry Week 9th -15th October

To celebrate one of our favourite weeks of the year, try our family friendly

Green Bean & Lamb Curry 


  • 2 white onions, chopped and diced
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • A sprinkle of ground cinnamon
  • 750g diced lamb
  • 400g can diced tomatoes
  • 300ml water
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour
  • 500g sweet potato, chopped and diced
  • 200g green beans, finely chopped


  • Brown the finely diced onions in a heated pan
  • Stir in the herbs and spices
  • Add in the diced lamb, cook throughly continuing to stir
  • Add water, cornflour and tomatoes. Simmer on a low heat for 20 minutes
  • Add in sweet potato and cook for 30-40 mins until lamb is tender
  • Add green beans and cook for a further 10 minutes

Serving suggestions:

Sprinkle with chopped coriander and can be served on its own or with white or brown rice
